BOOK

Name: Oneness in Diversity: Elixir of Guru Nanak and the Indic Saints

Description:

Oneness in Diversity: Elixir of Guru Nanak & Indic Saints, a new documentary film by the creators of the globally acclaimed ‘Guru Nanak Docuseries’ will be released at Rubin Museum in Manhattan (New York) on December 16.

Amardeep Singh takes us on a journey through the memories of Sufis and Saints, whose teachings are entwined with those of Guru Nanak and enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib. They teach the beauty in diversity and how one can enjoy their universal existence by embracing this diversity and overcoming the falseness of duality that has been created by society. In a period corrupted by caste, division, ritualism and oppression, the Bhakti and Sufi movements rose to weave together the fabric of society that had been shredded by such tainted ideals. They aimed to rejuvenate the society with the spirit of oneness and diversity. To further the reach of his awareness, Guru Nanak laid the foundation of scribing to make sure his teachings would reach many generations to follow.
